First you have to understand why Google is so popular. The main reason behind Google’s success in reaching such a huge position today is its users. Why are there so many users now? Because Google provides you with the desired information or service very easily by providing you with a large amount of information.
In the beginning, people gave importance to how easily they can get their services. But as time goes on, people’s cyber world is also becoming a part of their life. And this part also includes people’s privacy or personal information. And people are always sensitive about their own privacy. No one wants anyone to know their personal information!
But Google always keeps an eye on you, collects your data. And the amount of this data collection is extremely large.
Therefore, as the days go by, people will become more cyber privacy conscious. Then no one will want their personal information to be collected so widely by any organization.
People will then not only look at the ease of access to information/services, but also at the security of their personal information. And then companies like Duck Duck Go will get the opportunity, which claim that they do not collect user data. And then a movement called de-Googling will start from the personal level!! Although not on a very large scale, I think that movement has already started! Because I once used all Google services myself, but now I try to use Google’s alternative services.
For example-
Existing Competitors of Google Search

- Yandex – Popular in Russia, offering AI-driven search.
- Baidu – China’s leading search engine with strong AI capabilities.
- Neeva (Now shut down) – Was an ad-free, AI-powered search engine.
