From Howrah to Itarsi, it is possible to reach Hosengabad in just 20 minutes by changing trains from Itarsi or you can reach Hosengabad by bus or auto all day from Itarsi. All the shrines in Hosengabad are centered on the river Narmada. The river Narmada is quite far from the bus stand or railway station so it is better to rent an auto rickshaw or a private car. If you have your own car, you can cross the bridge over the Narmada and visit some of the shrines on the north coast at the same time. The famous Sethani Ghat and the newly constructed Vivekananda Ghat at Hosengabad are also worth visiting. Every evening when you visit Narmada Mother’s Aarti at Vivekananda Ghat, you get peace of mind. The main attractions are Narmada Temple, Gayatri Temple, Banke Bihari Temple, Narmada Satsanga Bhavan, Jagadish Temple and Nageshwar Temple. There are several shrines at Budhni and adjoining places on the north coast. If you have time, you can go to the south coast and visit those shrines.

If you have plenty of time on hand, you can reach a nearby place by car and visit the shrine on foot. Details of almost all the pilgrimages are in the guide. If necessary, those shrines can be visited with the help of guidance.
